Megan Siedman

R&D Partnerships Manager

  • Program Management Team
Megan Siedman was the R&D Partnerships Manager for the EF+Math Program from 2022-2024 and was the Educator Engagement and Equity Fellow in 2021.

Megan Siedman is a math educator, storyteller, and learning experience designer, working to craft dynamic math spaces that embrace our creativity, joy, and humanity. A former Fulbright Scholar to Bulgaria, she has taught in classrooms in the US and abroad and completed math pedagogy training through the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Education (BSME).

Following her term at EF+Math, Megan transitioned to math learning design at large, including special projects in math festivals and galleries, as well as curriculum writing for programs like MIT4America, a national Calculus access initiative in the STEP Education Arcade. Her programming has been featured at the National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath), and her reflections on the relationship between math pedagogy and STEM teacher pipelines will be included in an upcoming book published by Springer International.

During her time at EF+Math, Megan was proud to have partnered most closely with the Educator Leadership Council (ELC) and worked to elevate and integrate their voices to the center of EF+Math’s R&D process. EF+Math’s principles of inclusive R&D—and, in particular, philosophies on investing in mutual community growth—remain central to Megan’s work in mathematical community building and outreach. The people she partners with—whether mathematicians, educators, community leaders, arts & culture professionals, volunteers, or more—remain the greatest part of her work.

Megan holds a BA in Sociology & Mathematics and completed post-baccalaureate coursework at the Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Education (BSME). She plans to complete future graduate coursework in Math Curriculum Studies.
